TITLE: COTA SUMMARY OF POSITION: To provide occupational therapy services as assigned under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist in compliance with state and federal regulations. Essential Functions (But not limited to) Provide occupational therapy services as assigned under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist Treats all residents, visitors, and staff with courtesy. Compliance with federal and state regulations, professional guidelines and code of ethics for the profession of occupational therapy and provision of occupational therapy services. Essential Qualifications (But not limited to) Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc., as designated by the initials C.O.T.A. State credentialing/licensure as required. Synthesis of knowledge related to anatomy, physiology, and pathology for effective treatment of movement and cognitive disorders as assigned by the Occupational Therapist. Sound clinical problem solving relating to the provision of occupational therapy services.
