Clinical Documentation Nurse - Health Information Management

Details: Note:  Please read the complete description below before applying for this job.  Complete DescriptionThe Clinical Documentation Nurse ensures the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation in medical records through concurrent interaction with appropriate individuals.  Monitor the documentation process and facilitate modifications to documentation to ensure that appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity is captured for the level of service rendered to all inpatients and that clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes is complete.  Educate all members of the patient care team on documentation policies, procedures, and regulatory agency documentation requirements.Qualifications:Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)Five years recent clinical acute inpatient experience is REQUIREDPREFERRD:RHIT (Registered Health Information Technologist) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) Basic knowledge of MS-DRG and Reimbursement Utilization review or coding experience Provena Health is committed to diversity.
